Game Concept Challenge
Game Concept Challenge is a prestigious competition for game developers of tomorrow created by SOFE. Game Concept Challenge started as the finale of a course in game concept development during School of Entertainment´s first year. Many of the winning concepts have met with international attention and won several prizes.
Four students started the company GamePort as a result of this occasion. After much positive feedback they chose to move on with their game concept to develop a prototype. In present-day Game Concept Challenge, GCC, is an established and unique game developing contest and great happening for the computer game branch and for talented students within game education. GCC´s winner gets an attractive prize – to develop its game concept to a prototype at the game incubator GamePort – and then sell the result to a publisher and finally – to create a full-scale game production.
2009 Game Concept Challenge comes off the 15th-16th of April at Campus Karlshamn.
